How can I give a customer access to the full knowledge base space.  ie I want them to log in to Confluence but only have access to a particular knowledge base space.

The customer has access to individual pages through the service desk integration but I want them to access the whole space.

I don't ant to make the space public.

I want the user to log in and have access to a particular KB space only

My suggestion is:

  1. Add the customers to a group in Confluence.
  2. Take them out of the confluence-users group or any other groups they are in, to avoid giving them permissions based on those groups.
  3. Add the customer group to the Confluence Admin>Global Permissions page with the appropriate permissions.
  4. Add the customer group to the Space Permissions for the knowledge base space, either from the space under Space Tools>Permissions or else from Confluence Admin>Space Permissions.

I look forward to hearing how it goes.

Thanks.  This was helpful.  Although it appears that the customer also needs to be assigned as a customer to the Service Desk that is linked to the Knowledge Base.

The client agency has 1500 users of our software.  I just want to give users access to the knowledge base where we set up our user guide. I dont want 1500 users having access to a support desk as the agency has designated support desk people.

Have I missed something in your instructions.  In step 2 above, should I have removed the new user from the group associated with the service desk?
