Hi,
I am trying to work out which of our 100+ confluence spaces are actually being used and updated.
Unfortunately the Space Report is USELESS as it only shows 'Last Viewed'...... which would have been me when I had quick look at each space.
Is there a way to produce a list or query of every space showing the last time any page in the space was updated or commented on ?
@Michael Green If you are on premium you can navigate to the space that you would like to view the content in. Then in the left hand navigation select Content Manger. You need to be a space admin to do this. You can then update the report columns to see last updated. You have to have premium or higher to see this.
Brant How is that going to show me last updated for EVERY Confluence space ? (rather than individual pages in ONE Confluence space ?

@Michael Green I usually look at the space analytics to see if it was updated and then look at the space report to see what was updated. The analytics only show the spaces in timeframes and do not show when the space was updated since the space is technically not being updated the pages are thus this is what it shows on the report. In the screenshot below you can see that in the last seven days the space has had six pages updated.

Hi @Michael Green ,
Given your premium plan, it will take around 5 minutes to get the report for 100+ spaces. You can generate a site-wide report of last updated spaces (based on page/blog/comment modifications, not views) via the built-in Space Reports tool. It exports a CSV with columns like Space Key, Name, Description, and crucially Last Modified (most recent content update). This should ignore your views and focuses on actual changes.
Plus you can also try the "Recent Updates" macro ( /recentupdates ).
You can also refer to View Insights.
I hope everything works out well for you!
Best,
Peter

Peter,
Did you try this yourself and confirm that you are getting the 'Last Modified' column and not just the "Last Viewed" ? ....... Because I am NOT getting the Modified column..... which would suggest your post above is invalid (or I'm missing something)

Hi @Michael Green ,
My plan is with standard plan so I cannot utilize the full Space Reports exports. I've confirmed this by cross-referencing the official support KB on space reports and database queries for last modified dates.
But the steps I outlined are straight from Atlassian's guide, and users on Premium consistently report getting the "Last Modified" column (e.g., YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM:SS format for sorting). For example, their KB on finding recently modified spaces uses a similar query that outputs "Space_Last_Updated_Date" based on MAX(c.lastmoddate) from the content table. If you generate the report and don't see it, it might be a plan quirk -> you can try filtering the CSV columns or regenerating.

NOPE. I'm telling you I'm NOT getting the 'Last Modified' field. Re-ran it just to confirm.
Who do I complain to from Atlassian ? :(

:( Yes, I know there might be a delayed in responsiveness but for te best support, you can complain and ask for assistance from the Atlassian support team!
