Hello,
When I embed a Trello link in Confluence via a smart link or by embedding the link in a page, the following message appears: “Trello does not allow the connection.” How can I resolve this issue, please?
Thank you for your help!
This usually happens because Trello blocks embedding in iframes for security reasons.
When you paste a Trello link into Confluence, Smart Links try to render it as an embedded view. However, Trello only allows this if:
1. The user is authenticated in the same browser session.
2. The workspace privacy settings allow embedding.
3. The content is shared with the correct permissions.
You can try the following:
- Open the Trello link directly in your browser and make sure you are logged in.
- Check the Trello board and workspace visibility settings.
- Instead of "Embed", use "Link" or "Card" view in Confluence.
If embedding is still blocked, it is likely a limitation on Trello’s side rather than a Confluence issue.
