How do I create an Impediment in JIRA against a story?

Hi,

I would like to raise one Impediment in JIRA but I am not getting the issue type as "Impediments" in dropdown. Any thoughts on this?

Hello @Thirumalai Venkatachalam, Chandra Sekhar (External) 

You will need to contact the Project Administrator for the Jira project where you want to create an Impediment type issue. That type of issue may not be available for that specific project.

Open the issue , click 3 dots in right hand top corner, add flag, it will add impediment flag to the issue. issue gets flagged.
