How do I add users in my organization to a space? I tried adding via space permissions, doesn't work

Hashim Bukhtiar July 26, 2023

I have tried adding users via the space permissions in the space settings, but they are still unable to gain access. I have given them both all permissions, including space admin, and they cannot access it.

Also, when they hit "Request access", the email goes to the wrong person. How can I change who it goes to?

Hello @Hashim Bukhtiar

Access requests should be getting emailed to the Organization Admins for your Atlassian Cloud Organization and to the Site Admins for the specific product site within your Organization. To change who receives the notifications would require changing who is in the site-admin group for the site and/or who are the designated Organization Admins.

What level of access do you have? Are you an administrator for only the space? Do you have Site Administration access?

A user that is a Site Administrator (or an Organization Administrator) may need to give the user access to the Confluence Product for your site. If the users do not have Product Access then they will not be able to access your Confluence Content.
