I have a 2/3 left column and 1/3 right column layout in Confluence. Recently, when I click the "task list" item to add a checkmark for a sub-bullet, it adds the checkmark on my sub-bullet but also indents the entire left column in and puts a task list checkmark for the entire left column. How do I prevent this from happening? I just want the sub-bullet checkmarks. This didn't use to be the behavior, and my completed tasks from the past are still working below.
@Heather welcome to the Atlassian community
Did you copy and paste any of the lists from another application? Is it doing this on all of the lists on different pages or just this one?
Hi Brant,
This only happens on certain pages, I am not copy-pasting from another application. Just when I already have a page with bullets, sub-bullets, and tasks already that when I go to add another task it sometimes indents the whole existing page as a task. Thank you!

Hi Brant,
My company is using Confluence 7.19.2. I just tried it again, and I have a date, then under that an ordinary bullet, and made a sub-bullet which I turned into a Task check mark and it indented the whole page again.

@Heather Thanks for the additional information. So you are on server. I would suggest highlighting the content and using the clear formatting and see if that fixes the issue on the pages that are experiencing the problem.
