I'm trying to insert a link to a google slideshow, but I do not want the widget connector to embed them into the page, I only want the link to appear. I would prefer not to hyperlink different text because my colleagues will need to copy and paste the URL into a different browser.
Hi Sam, can I please check my understanding - you want the URL text to display on the page, and not formatted as a hyperlink?

Thanks - this worked! For me in chrome I first pasted as plain text (on a mac cmd-shift-v) and it autoconverted to the widget but then I press the Delete key and that converted back to a regular text hyperlink url.

Welcome to the Community! Echoing @Jasmine Andrews I found pasting the link as 'plain text' worked for me.
