I would like to see how much data we are currently using and then free up space accordingly for Confluence. It is not clear where to do this or whether I even have proper access.
Answer #2 :-)
There are different levels or types of Admins. There is some good documentation here: https://support.atlassian.com/user-management/docs/give-users-admin-permissions/
Consider a use case where your Jira Admin may need to be restricted from sensitive information like HR detail.
It sounds like you need to be a space admin: https://support.atlassian.com/confluence-cloud/docs/assign-space-permissions/
I can't say for sure which page in the user-management / docs will give you exactly what you need. A "trick" I have used with clients in the past is to tell whoiever is setting me up to set me up with the same permissions as "X" assuming somone (X) has access like I need to get a task complete.
Happy org /role hunting :-)
Hello @ChrisP_SD
The Admin interface has changed and the documentation provided by @Carlos Garcia Navarro has not yet been updated. Rather than there being tabs across the top, now there is the navigation panel on the left.
The correct path to get to Storage management in the screens you see is described here:
If your user has Organization Admin access then you will be an admin for the Organization and able to access the storage information.

@Trudy Claspill thanks for that clarification about how to access Storage Management. I can get to the menu specified in the instructions (see screenshot above), but I don't see any apps. Per @David Nickell 's suggestion, maybe I need to ask if someone else on our team can grant access to the apps?

Hello @ChrisP_SD
You are not in the correct location to find Storage information.
Based on your screen image your Organization has Centralized User Management as described at the beginning of the reference document I linked.
In that document if you go to the section titled How do I track storage for each app? then you will see in step 2 that you need to click on Apps in the left hand side. There is no instruction to navigate to the Users area. After selecting Apps, then select your Site, then under Site Settings, select Storage.

Hi @Trudy Claspill ,
Yes, thank you, what I was trying to show is that in my case there aren't any apps in any of the menus, even though I am labeled as "Organization admin". Note, there is no menu called only "Apps" in my case, rather there is "Atlassian apps" and "App URLs", but neither of these has any sub-options available. I'm not familiar enough with these settings to know why these are empty when our team uses both Confluence and Jira. Below is a screenshot showing what this section of the site looks like for me.

Hello @ChrisP_SD
Thank you for that screen image. That is helpful.
It is possible that you are an Organization Admin for an Organization but not the Organization under which the Confluence and Jira instances you access exist.
To find the name of the Organization under which your products exist, when logged in to Confluence click on the application navigator. The organization name will display where I have added the gray box.
If that name doesn't match the name in the upper left corner of the image you provided in your last response then the location in your last response is not the admin hub for the Organization for your products.
Here is a way to get to Storage tracking from Confluence if you have sufficient permissions:
If you log into Confluence itself (not the admin site in your image) and click on the gear icon next to your avatar, does that take you to a new screen similar to this?
If you get that screen, can you scroll down on the left to an item at the bottom labeled Manage Apps, click on that and see the screen shown below?
If you can get that far, can you click on the Take Me There button?
If you have sufficient access that will take you into the Administration hub for the Organization under which your Confluence subscription exists. You can make note of the Organization name hidden under where I have added the red line. From here you can click on Storage which I've indicated with the red arrow.
If you are not able to follow those steps to access Storage then you may not have sufficient access, and you may need to check with your fellow team members to find somebody who does.
With a Free subscription there are basically 3 levels of access; Organization Administrator, Product Administrators, and Product User. Organization Administrators would definitely be able to access the Storage option. I'm not sure if Product Administrators can. Product Users cannot. If you can find a team member who has sufficient access it should be possible for them to grant you an admin role that will give you sufficient access.

@Trudy Claspill thank you for the detailed screenshots and explanation. Going to the settings from within Confluence, in my case, there is no gear icon next to my avatar. Also, in the application navigator menu with the four little boxes on the left side, I don't see any organization name. Am I in the right place according to this screenshot? If so, I must not actually have full admin access. I also don't see a setting icon on the right-hand side circled in red...

Hello @ChrisP_SD
Given that there is no gear icon next to your avatar in the Confluence app, that indicates you do not have Confluence App Admin access for that Confluence instance.
That likely means that you do not have Organization Admin access for the Cloud Organization under which that Confluence subscription exists. Organization Admins are automatically and irrevocably also Confluence App Administrators (due to the permission setting options in Confluence).
You said:
Also, in the application navigator menu with the four little boxes on the left side, I don't see any organization name.
Can you click on the navigator and share a screen image of what you see? Obscure confidential information. I thought that non-admin users should be able to see the Organization name.
You mentioned in another reply that you are on a "free" account. For Confluence, at least, what you have shown indicates that you have only the User role for that app, not the Administrator role.
If you also have access to a Jira instance in this same Organization (same base URL as Confluence) you can check if you have access to the gear icon next to your avatar in that app. You should have access, because all Users can go there to access Personal settings. If you have App admin access, then more options would appear in that pop up similar to this:

Hi @ChrisP_SD ,
Welcome to the Community! This article has information on how to manage storage in Confluence. You must be a Confluence admin to view and track your storage, so if you can follow the instruction, that means you're an admin :-).

Hi Carlos,
Thank you for the reply to my question. I did see the instructions you sent in your link when searching for this help topic but following the instructions leads to contradictory indications as to whether I actually have access to manage our team's Confluence settings. For example, I am not able to access Confluence inside of the Administration tab, however my user name has an "Organization admin" label next to it. So am I an admin or not?
If I am and admin, why is the "Product" tab missing at the top of the Administration menu?

My answers normally start off with some API based trick. Not this time. I've never seen this docimentation so I'd suggest starting here. Looks like good stuff and if you can't do some of what it suggests, you probably aren't an admin (or don't have premium conflunce - which appears to be require for this specific feature)

Thanks David, in the link, it says the content manager is a tool available to "Confluence Premium" and "Enterprise" accounts. I think we are on a "free" account.
