I'm trying to remove waypoints (or editing points) from a line in a whiteboard.  It is simple enough to add them but I can't find any way to remove them other than asking Rovo to do it for me.  If Rovo can do it, I'm guessing there must be a way to do it manually which would be much quicker than asking Rovo every time.

Am I being stupid here or maybe this function doesn't work in my environment for some reason?

Many thanks,

J

@jamesw-escape-technology As per the suggested improvement there is not a way to remove them and you would have to delete the line and start over if you would like less of them.   https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/CONFCLOUD-83719   You can always drag them to straighten out the line were you would delete them.  The waypoint stays be the line now looks how you would want it to look.

Hey there @jamesw-escape-technology ,

That doesn't seem to be possible at this time based on our documentation for Shaping Lines and tests from my side.

For now, you will need to delete and recreate the line if too many editing points have been added.

We have created a new Suggestion for this:

Thank you all for the quick response!

Deleting the line as a workaround is fine for now, this is how I've been working so far, but I think it would be really useful to be able to just select a point and hit the delete key.

It doesn't look like I have permission to vote, etc. but I'm hoping others would find this feature useful.

Many thanks,

J

Hi @jamesw-escape-technology ,

Quick update: we confirmed with our Whiteboards Team and they mentioned double-clicking the editing points will remove them.

PS: if you work on a trackpad, a double-tab will not work, so you need a full "click".

We are working on updating our documentation to mention this option.

Hope this helps!  =]

Hi @jamesw-escape-technology

Can you show an example image, what do you mean by waypoints?

Thanks for your reply Marc.  By waypoints, I mean the nodes in a line that you can pick up and drag to make the line curve to go around other items in your drawing, I think draw.io documentation calls them waypoints but it looks like they are called editing points in confluence documentation:

image.pngI can create more of them but I can't work out how to remove them again if I decide to change the layout of my diagram.

Thanks

Hi @jamesw-escape-technology

But as mentioned by @Brant Schroeder and @Thiago P _Atlassian Support_ these can\t be removed.
