How can I merge cells in my table like in Excel?

Hello @Mathilde Gouze 

Welcome to the Atlassian community.

Highlight the cells you want to merge. You should see a downward pointing arrow/button appear in one of the cells. Click on it to show the Cell Context menu. There you will find the Merge Cells option.

Hi, thank you for replying!

I don’t want to merge cells inside the table itself, but rather cells in the first row — the one with the column headers. I can’t select that type of cell to merge them.

You can do the same thing with cells in a row, including the header row.

I select the cells by placing my cursor in one, single-click and drag my cursor into the neighboring cell.

I can also do it by placing my cursor in one cell, then holding the Shift key and clicking on the neighboring cell. 

I'm doing that in a Chrome browser.
