How can I get access to my new confluence app. I seem to be caught in a loop.

Hi there, I just signed up with a new Atlassian account and subscribed to the Confluence app.

However, when I try to navigate to my confluence page at my_company.atlassian.net, I see the following: 

We already notified the admin of your access request for Confluence on  my_company.atlassian.net.

However, when I go to home.atlassian.net, I cannot see any app assigned to my account at all. If I try to add Confluence again, and type my company name for a confluence account (e.g. my_company.atlassian.net), I see the warning "This site name is taken. Try another name."

What's happening here? How can I claim my company confluence page again?

Please be informed, the messages you are seeing reveal a critical distinction between creating a new site and accessing an existing site.

In a nutshell, you do not own the site my_company.atlassian.net; it is already owned and managed by someone else (the Admin of your company's Atlassian Organization).

Option 1:

• Wait for the Admin: Since the admin of my_company.atlassian.net was notified of your access request, you must wait for them to approve you
• contact your company's IT Helpdesk or the person responsible for Atlassian licenses/sites.

Option 2:

• Choose a New URL: You must choose a different, available site name (URL) for your new Atlassian site.
• Start over with a new unique site name.
