Hi everyone,
I’ve been experimenting with Simple Table in Confluence and I’d like to calculate the profit after applying taxes.
For example, I have a table with columns like Revenue (€) and Expenses (€). What I’d like to add is a calculated column showing Profit after tax, where tax is based on the Canadian VAT rate (currently 13%).
So essentially:
(Revenue - Expenses) * 0.87
Has anyone tried something similar with Simple Table?
Is this the right way to set up a calculated column, or do you recommend another approach?
Thanks in advance!
Hey there @David Romero ,
Sounds like a question that @Mia Tamm _Simpleasyty_ would be able to help with.
I love Google Sheets for creating spreadsheets, and the recent feature "smart links in the content tree" makes them really convenient.
Basically, you can add a Google Sheet to your content tree, and it appears as a first class citizen. The spreadsheet will open on the right and support pretty much all GSheets features!
This is a really neat integration.

Hi @Aron Gombas _Midori_, thanks a lot for the suggestion! I can definitely see how Google Sheets integration could be useful.
In my case though, I’m trying to keep everything directly in Simple Table, without relying on external spreadsheets. My goal is to calculate the profit after tax (using the 13% Canadian VAT) straight inside the table, so it’s easier for the team to work with the data in Confluence only.
Thanks again for pointing me in a direction, much appreciated!
