Problem I'm trying to solve:
Most of our documentation exists outside Confluence (i.e., Google Drive). I want to use Confluence as a landing page / jumping off point where individuals can view and access all relevant materials in one place. (Example: I have a file list for "onboarding" and within that folder, I have a variety of docs and links to external web pages)
Issue:
I do not see an option to add links in the attachment macro -- I only see an option to drop files (see image below).
Questions:
1) Is it possible to add links in the attachment macro?
2) Is there a better way to organize information within a folder structure in Confluence?
Hi Rachel,
You can add links to a file using the Links macro. The Attachments Macro is only for adding attachments to a page, so it's not possible to do so there.
As for folder structure, Confluence organizes its content in pages. You have Spaces > Parent Pages > Child Pages.
If you want folder structure, you'll need to use a 3rd party add-on for that, for example:
Let us know if you have any questions about that.

Shannon
Thank you for the quick response! Unfortunately it looks like I might need a 3rd party add-on to accomplish my goal, but will keep an eye out for any product changes.
