Hide a space from the follow list when signing up

Is it possible to stop certain spaces from appearing to users when they first log into the site?

In the first few screens that appear when a user logs in they have to choose a space to follow. In our case, one of the spaces that appears on the list receives hundreds of edits a day. We get new users sign in and choose it and they get bombarded with email updates. I'd like to exclude this space from the list - but users will still need to be able to access once logged in.

Great question, a lot of users probably face the same ordeal. Unfortunately, I don't think there's an ability to hide certain spaces during a users initial log in to the site.

It might be best to simply provide your users with guidance on what they should/shouldn't do during the login process?
