Our pages are growing and i want to make sure the whole site is backed up incase we make errors/mistakes/deletions that afterwards we want to retrieve.
Many thanks for your help.
Hi @GameDev ,
You can create full site backups from the administration area. You can do this all 48 hours. But you can only restore the whole backup.
But what cases do you want to cover?
Each change of a page is versioned and can be restored.
Each deleted page is in the trash of the space and can be restored by a space admin.
I'm a little confused after visiting the Administration Area of the Confluence page on "manage backups", going into Cloud Backup instructions it says on "site import" page under Limitations:
If you have Jira AND Confluence site import is not possible.
( However we do have Jira and Confluence. )
It then states if you want to import Confluence you must do it page by page/step by step for the whole site, which is fine, but our Confluence is linked to Jira.
There is a button that says "Create Cloud Backup" i suspect this is for the full confluence site that you can save, then if you wish re-import it on a local server if your not using cloud OR import it onto Cloud again if its just Confluence (without Jira).
Have i understood this correctly?
Many thanks

Hi @GameDev ,
Sorry for the late response.
As far as I know, it is like this.
For Jira, you can use site export and import, no matter if it is connected to Confluence or not.
For Confluence, you can not import the whole backup if you are connected to Jira. But you can import per Space. So you can import one or many spaces, but not the whole site.
The backup you need for the space import is the same backup as for the site import, but only the part for the space choose will be imported.
So you are on the right place for the backup there.
