Give each doc an Internal ID

Hello team,

I'm struggling to maintain excel data about my docs because the team every now and then modified the name of each doc. I'm trying to find a way to give each doc an internal alphanumeric ID so I can spot the doc easier regardless its name. 

I was thinking in adding a label to each doc, but I'm wondering if there's another way to provide an alphanumeric ID to each doc. Thank you

Instead of creating your own Id, why not use the page Id instead? It is a unique number for each page in the instance.

Correct. That Id is unique for each page.
