From past few days getting the "Illegal character in path at index 36 error.."

For the past few days, we have been getting the following error: We are not able to install our app on the DC instance; sometimes, it is intermittent.

Does anyone have any suggestions to solve this problem permanently?

OK, I had the same issue, and I completely deleted (backed up somewhere else)
the /target/* folder and the issue disappeared.
