Filtering & Grouping Bug: Entries with Multiple Tags Omitted

Hi Confluence team,

I use Confluence databases to manage my roadmap and have noticed issues with filtering and the Board/Grouped view. A simple example: I have an epic/project assigned to several product teams, so I use a tag field that allows multiple tags. However, when I create a view grouped by team, any item with multiple tags doesn’t appear in any group.

Instead of excluding items with multiple tags, they should be displayed in each relevant group. It’s quite frustrating, as the multiple tags feature becomes unusable in this context.

Unfortunately, we don't allow users to group by tag fields with multi-select enabled. There's a small description under the dropdown menu where you select the grouping field:

I have encountered the same limitation myself, and I found it frustrating that I couldn't have the same result appear multiple times for each tag. I went ahead and created a feature suggestion for this:

• CONFCLOUD-81686 Allow grouping by tag fields with multi-select enabled

You can add your vote and become a watcher to get any updates on its status. If you want to share anything with the product team, they will see any comments you leave on the ticket.
