We have a so-called marketing library which should display tables where we can search for various documents (pdfs).
However, out of the blue, this feature stopped working. It works for other employees but not for me. I tried clearing my cookies and used other browsers, but its the same. I work on a Mac, but tried the same action on my home PC, yet it does not work.
This feels buggy, any suggestions for what may be causing this?

If you're still having this issue, can you explain how your marketing library is set up? Confluence search allows to search content within PDFs from the Full Search. Were you using that originally, or a 3rd party add-on?
