Getting an error with public Figma links:
Unable to load Figma frame
Please open the macro editor to resolve this
It does this even though initially it displays the linked frame, but then fails.
Previous Figma files that were linked are now also failing.
Hi @Rui Martins ,
It usually happens due to frame permissions, caching, or specific link formats not resolving fully. Existing embeds breaking too points to a backend sync glitch, not a plan limit. :) You can try these solutions:
1) Clear Cache & Permissions: As admin, clear browser cache for atlassian.net. In Figma, check file settings > Share > Ensure "View" access for public links. Test in incognito or another browser.
2) Re-Embed the Frame: Edit the page > Delete the link > In Figma, select the exact frame > Share > Copy link (ensure "Anyone with the link can view" is on, no password). Paste into Confluence > Smart Link > Choose "Embed" if prompted. Publish and refresh.
3) Use Iframe Macro as Workaround: If Smart Link fails, /iframe > Paste Figma's embed code (Share > Get embed code > Copy the full <iframe> snippet). Set Width: 100%, Height: 600px (adjust), Allow fullscreen: Yes.
-> This workaround sho bypasses Smart Links and loads reliably.
If it persists across browsers/devices, it's likely a temporary Atlassian-side issue. You should report it: support.atlassian.com/contact > Confluence > Integrations > Include Figma link, screenshot, and page URL. Premium gets quick triage. :)
I hope everything works out well for you!
Best,
Peter
Thank you for your answer. I have now followed all the steps and the issue remains, also across multiple browsers. Will report.
