Hi Team,

I am new to Confluence and configuring ldap settings. My ldap is Active directory. I have a confusion to put Hostname option in ldap setting page.

1. If i provide hostname as FQDN of my Active directory server and in case of it goes down, my whole app users would not be able to login.

2. if i use domain name as a whole , we have around 15 DCs and queries go to them using DNS round robin. Suppose any of the DC is unreachable at some particular time. Few users who go to authenticate to that unreachable server are failed to login in application.

Don't understand what to do to achieve seamless authentication of application.

Thanks

Anees

Anees,

Your question is tagged as Confluence Cloud, but I suspect you might not be on Cloud but Server.

Can you please confirm your Confluence version?

Regards,

Shannon
