Expand and Note macros glom right on to one another

Good day. Hmmm, it's been a while since I posted about anything!

So, here's what's going on. We're on Confluence 7.8.0 / server. I have a persistent rendering problem on a page. Well, let's say I suspect this will happen on any page.

I have an Expand macro, then a Note one immediately after that.

It seems that no matter what I do, these two refuse to have any space between them:

I'm just leaving this alone, for now, but I'm tempted. We have these blank spacer graphics we use for page design—last resort when there's no other way to create what's requested.

I'm thinking about grabbing one, or creating one of my own.

Thoughts? Suggestions?
