Enabling Drafts in Confluence Server 6.0

Naaman Campbell February 26, 2018

Drafts are not being saved on our company's Confluence Server 6.0.

After clicking Close (or Preview) in a new document, documents are not being saved as drafts in "Recently worked on" or Profile > Drafts.

Is there a setting or KB article that will (re)enable Drafts?

That doesn't sound right.  Close asks me if I want to discard it or save it as a draft in a popup

I don't see a prompt when clicking Close in both Firefox and Edge.

Is there an advanced setting that disables drafts or should I report a bug?

I have just noticed that I have made a mistake.  I looked at Confluence 6.2, not 6.0  (In my very weak defence, it was because a client I was not expecting to upgrade did it without warning.  But that's no excuse for not checking versions)

I don't think there's any point raising a bug for this against Confluence 6.0.  As 6.2 and above asks you about saving a draft, the response is going to be "upgrade and re-test" if it's not working in 6.0 because of a bug.

OK, thanks, I'll contact our Confluence admins to see if we can upgrade..
