Editing external database from Confluence

I am trying to figure out the best way to have our Confluence connect to an external Database, display queries but also have the ability to edit the data. Is this something is possible through plugin/macro? Or is this something that we will need to develop ourselves?

Current solution: Create webservice, allow only Confluence server to call it, and have Confluence display results. Would still need to develop a form to input/edit data though.

@Jordan Berry

Hi Jordan

within my company we use SQL for Confluence

https://marketplace.atlassian.com/plugins/org.swift.confluence.sql/server/overview?gclid=CjwKCAiA8bnUBRA-EiwAc0hZk-2TF3WT5lU6p8dUjLKaGZE8ozSuK8gwQSs18nnCyr5DJLqxWQwZ2xoCHVMQAvD_BwE

There are several other plugins available at the marketplace, the one i use within my own instance is Play SQL Base

Hope that helps

Hey Kurt,

Does this have the ability to add/edit rows?

Hi Jordan,

the two mentioned do - at least what i have seen so far - not offer an insert / edit feature.

Best

Kurt
