I am facing a problem with confluence, each time I start the edit mode on any of our pages Confluence starts running super slow it effects my computer to a point where I am not able to work. I tried rebooting it and clearing the cash of my browser even switching it but still the issue persists.

There aren't any active incidents for Confluence. Try switching to a different browser - Google Chrome is fastest out there.
As @Nikola Perisic mentioned, trying the same in another browser might help identify the problem.
Trying your existing browser in the incognito (private, anonymous) mode is also an option because it browser extensions - and those are know to interfere with SaaS apps such as Confluence.
Last but not least, the page itself ... a large attachment, iframe etc., can cause loading problems. I had a page in my documentation with a giant table. Opening that page caused a major lag.
