Does the group permission for a confluence space overwrite the individual permission or do they comb

I am a Confluence Admin and have a space whereby an individual has been assigned access as a member of a group with minimal permissions and as an individual with more permissions.

It seems the group permissionis overiding the individual permissions - is that the way it is supposed to be?  I thought it was the other way round?

Hi Tony,

personal and group permissions are combined and the user gets all of both worlds.
