We're really struggling with the performance issue with using the jira-issues macro in Confluence that is making starting to make it unusable for our needs.

We opened a call with Atlassian and they've advised the bug is on the long term backlog and there is no date they can give us for any fix.
We've modified the scope on as many custom fields as possible and removed one of the addons we identified as being a particularly poor performer (by analysing SQL logging), which has helped, but it's still a real issue for us.
I'm looking to see if anybody has any suggestions for alternatives
