Does Confluence cloud search leverage labels if you don't use the label filter function?

Trying to figure out if the search results on confluence cloud are impacted by the labels that are used on a page even if you don't use the filter function for looking for specific labels. Do the results change if you run a basic text search with a word/phrase that is in a label? Or do labels only impact search when you use the label filter function?

I'm using Confluence for a Knowledge Base and when I search either in the Portal or in Confluence I don't have to put in a label filter to find an article with a particular label.
