Forgive me, but I can't seem to find where to disable the "Request Access" plugin. I do not want users requesting access to Confluence pages.
All the searches I've done send me to Administration > Manage Add-ons > System add-on > Confluence Request Access Plugin. But I can't find that anywhere.
Help!
Hi @John Lamoureux ,
Welcome to the community! 👋
This is a bit tricky, as there actually isn't an option to enable/disable "Request page/space access." There's a feature request, though, for which I would recommend leaving a vote and potentially commenting with your requirement: CONFCLOUD-33703: Provide ability to turn off "Page Request Access" functionality.
What you can configure, as an Org admin, is app access settings within the Atlassian Administration, but this is only configuring app access requests (e.g., request access to Confluence) and not specifically access requests for spaces or pages. 👀
Hope this helps.
Cheers,
Tobi
Thanks for that information Tobi. That's disappointing, as I'd like to force all access requests through an official IT ticket, not a process where the request is sent to admins.
Per your request, I'll leave a comment in the above feature request.

@Tomislav Tobijas I have the opposite problem. Our users don't get a "request access" button to request access. I don't want to give any user the ability to get access, but I also don't want to create all invitations. Is there a setting to turn on the "request access" button that i need to configure?

@Angie Adams are they trying to access a restricted space or a restricted page/content?
As there's no way to disable this option, there shouldn't be an option to enable this as well, but it might depend on what you're trying to access and what type of license the user that's trying to access the content has. 👀
