By installing the latest confluence update, we found that we can no longer edit a word or excel document when we use office document macros.
Previously, next to the macro preview was a link by which we could open a document via WebDAV. After the update to 6.11, it disappeared.
We read the latest news on the release and noticed that instead of webdav, now we should use atlassian companion, and also found information from 13 November 2015 to stop supporting office macros.
Ok, this information is clear to us.
Right now, when we attach a document, it becomes available for preview as a thumbnail and we can open the document using the Atlassian Companion, but the readability of this method leaves much to be desired.
We want to find out - what do we use now, instead of office macros, to preserve the readability of downloaded files, the ability to preview and edit?
