Hi, I am trying to deploy Jira and Confluence from Azure marketplace but I get a couples of errors.
The templare it looks old and wrong.
Do you know if there is a new template can I use to deploy both?
Thanks
Riccardo
Hi Ric,
I've been alerted that the issue you're running into is actually a new bug reported yesterday to Microsoft. Due to the permissions on the issue, I'm not able to share it here, but it will also take a few weeks to be reviewed by Microsoft. Thank you for your understanding.
As for your issue downloading scripts, is it sporadic?
Regards,
Shannon
Hi Shannon,
sorry for delay.
The issue is systematic with Jira deployment in any azure regions.
I no longer have any problem with Confluence deployment in any azure regions.
Thanks
Riccardo

That's good news, Riccardo! Thank you for letting me know that you are no longer having the issue with Confluence.
I understand you're still having the issue with Jira, however. The previous issue looks to be resolved. Is the exact error you're having presently still the one from Tuesday?

Hi Riccardo,
The templates mentioned from our articles should still be correct, I assume these are the ones you are using on the Data Center versions of our software since you mentioned Azure Marketplace.
Please confirm that you've followed those steps exactly and that you are, in fact, on the data center versions. If so, can you provide us the error messages you're receiving?
I also wanted to ask how this is related to Bitbucket pipelines; per your title, you are working with Bitbucket. Let me know if that was a mistake.
Regards,
Shannon

Hi Shannon,
I already raised the issue to Azure PG and AFAIK they are already working on it.
Jira and Confluence template (both) have the same two issues:
{
"status": "Failed",
"error": {
"code": "ResourceDeploymentFailure",
"message": "The resource operation completed with terminal provisioning state 'Failed'.",
"details": [
{
"code": "VMExtensionProvisioningError",
"message": "VM has reported a failure when processing extension 'jira-install-script'. Error message: \"Enable failed: processing file downloads failed: failed to download file[0]: failed to download file: http request failed: Get https://gallery.azure.com/artifact/20151001/atlassian.jira-data-centerjira-software.1.0.6/Artifacts/prepare_install.sh: dial tcp X.Y.Z.Y:443: i/o timeout\"."
}
]
}
}

Sorry there is a mistake, I am working on an Azure ARM template deployment of Jira and Confluence.
I am not using Bitbucket pipeline.
Cheers,
Ric

Ric,
Thank you for providing the error message and clarifying the issue with the title.
I was able to find this has been reported as a bug and we're submitting it to Microsoft:
From the notes, it needs to be reviewed by Microsoft which can take about 2 weeks. Since this was submitted about 2 weeks ago, I would expect it to be corrected shortly. There are also mentions of Confluence having been submitted in the internal comments.
I've commented internally on that ticket as well with a link back to this post, asking for an update, so if we do have one, you will be updated soon.
Thank you for your understanding!
