A former employee created several spaces in our org's wiki, and because he was intended to manage them and the content was procedural, he removed editing access from almost everyone, including Org and Site admins. Due to unforeseen tragedy, he was unable to continue with us and had a very sudden departure, so he didn't have the time to fully audit all of his confluence spaces and add a new owner. How can I regain ownership of these spaces? The pages can be edited by certain team members, but there is no owner to move, manage, or delete anything.

Any user that has Confluence Admin access should be able to grant themselves access to the space by clicking on the gear icon next to their avatar in the upper right, then selecting the Space Permissions option, and then selecting Recover Permissions next to the spaces.

In this example it would say "Recover permissions" where it currently says "Manage permissions".

Once the admin has permissions to the space then they can make necessary adjustments.
