Hello!

I know that I can restrict the editing rights to view only on single pages.

Is there a way to to this for a page and all (nested) subpages in one step?

New subpages should automatically obey such a restriction.

How can I achieve that?

Regards,

 Jürgen.

Hey @Jürgen Mnich ,

There's an open feature request for what you're looking for: CONFCLOUD-5095: Page edit permissions should be inherited by pages, like view permissions are

You could potentially automate this by using Confluence automation, such as this:

Note that you would need to play around to see if you can pull which users/groups are set on a parent page and then add them to the newly published page.
It's probably possible, but would need some tweaking. 🤔

Cheers,
Tobi

Hi Tobi,

thank you so much for your answer...

I decided to place all relevant pages in another project... its not my favorite solution, just a workaround, but I needed a quick solution ;-)

Thank you again,

 Jürgen.
