Default labels in meeting notes

I would like to create a page that has children pages for different meeting types with a default label type so I can create a content report by meeting type.  I have not been able to figure out how to set a default label on a template.  Any ideas?

Did you try just adding the label you want to the template and saving it? I think when you create a page from the template, the label is also copied.
