Hi @Krisa Ono
It appears that you are new to the Confluence databases feature.
Confluence databases support various types of entries, such as dates, owners, URLs, and plain text.
I recommend reviewing the documentation provided below for more detailed information and a comprehensive list of supported field types.
Thanks,
Dhanush
This does not really answer my question. This is how the link populates when I use smart links in the database. It doesn't allow me to change the formatting of the smart links at all they appear that way with no way to edit it.

@Krisa Ono
It seems you're using Entry Link for that field, which enables you to reference all entries from a selected field in a different database.
However, if you're using Smart Link for that field, you won't be able to simply click on the link to change the view as you would on a page. Instead, you'll need to use the available fields, like "text," to input your data.

EDIT/UPDATE: I found a better post for this!
@Dhanush and/or @Valerie Knapp: I found my way to this forum post for a similar issue: I understand how database entry links work (I'm using them as a purposeful alternative to a tag, because I'm using the data across multiple databases and want one source of truth for which values should be included).
Similar to the original poster here, I don't like the way these linked entries look. The fushcia/magenta-ish icon adds a lot of visual noise and makes it harder to differentiate between entries. See screenshot:
Are you aware of any existing posts where I could upvote this feedback? Should I create a new post?

Hi @Krisa Ono , welcome to the Atlassian Community and thanks for your question.
I'm going to escalate this post to Atlassian because I think this is really a product question for Confluence Databases and I don't know of another way to get Atlassian's eyes on this.
Someone should reply to you directly in this post.
Best regards
