Hi,
I often have emails that need to be sent documented in confluence.
These have recipients, subject, and a body template.
Currently I use an online mailto link generator 3rd party website, and insert it as an HTML link
The pain comes when I need to edit this... I click the link which opens an email, I copy all the fields into the online mailto link generator then make my edits, regenerate the link and paste it back into confluence.
I found a gist with something that may work with the on-premise version of conflucence, https://gist.github.com/segilbert/5968297/ but we're using the SAAS version (on demand)
Does anyone know a way to create this little bit of templated html/macro ?
Otherwise... atlassian... take this as a feature request. to create an option in the "insert link" dialog where we can build an entire email.
I've created a feature request for improving the insert link dialog
That is nice idea unfortunately Confluence Cloud does not support adding user macros like on the on-prem version. However there is a way to add some static macros described in this article
Maybe it would be useful for someone. If not lets hope that on Atlassian Marketplace we would find an app that could cover it.
