I'm using the Product Requirement blueprint provided in Confluence. Part of this template allows linked the page to an EPIC in Jira, and then also creating User Stories in Jira that auto links to the Epic on the page.

This does not seem to work as expected, as I have to manually go and link the Stories to the Epic.

Also, is it possible to auto populate from Confluence, the Acceptance Criteria field within Jira on each User Story?

Hi Pieter! Welcome to the community 😊

I can see the template suggests using /Jira to include issues. This macro is not really suited to create new issues in Jira, just displaying.

If you want to have the page dinamically update the sub-tasks of a given epic, you can use the /Jira issues macro to filter by JQL as in this image:

Then you can modify the fields that you have in the table. If your field is not included, you may add it by scrolling right and clicking in the highlighted button

About the create issues macro:

I'm afraid the create issues macro does not include the option to auto-link a work item to an epic. I've been googling and cant find any related documentation from Atlassian, so please letme know if i'm missing something!

About automatically updating Jira issues:

Confluence Premium includes Automation as a feature and includes the "Edit Jira issues" action. Problem is, this action is not compatible with all triggers so doing the change you desire may or may not be possible depending on the use case. You can read more here: Actions in Confluence automation | Cloud automation Cloud | Atlassian Support

Hope that was helpful.
