I am currently copying pages from one space to another. We couldn't automate it since they have different Confluence versions.
However, copying pages and their content worked. But now in the space where I copied the content from, images appear to have a broken link and this replicates in my new pages.
When inspecting the image, I also noticed that the image source is still the old space. The plan is to take the old space down, will my images then remain live?
Hi Frederike,
Welcome to Atlassian Community. It's nice to meet you.
Can you walk me through the steps you took to copy the content in Confluence? I'm assuming you used the Copy feature for each page individually? (Ref: Move, Copy, and Hide Pages). Once we know the steps you took to copy the pages, it will help to explain why your images didn't copy over.
I'd also like to know if the images were physically attached to the page in Confluence before you moved the content, or had they been copy/pasted in originally? You can check the old page by clicking . . . > Attachments to be sure they were attached to the page.
Looking forward to hearing from you soon!
Take care,
Shannon
