Dear all,
we are evaluating to use of Confluence, and we would like to Sync all users' personal Confluence Tasks to Jira. Our users are using Confluence mainly for process audit management and business note-taking.
Under Tasks, we would automatically sync from to Jira the following Tasks of all Spaces:
In that way, we could benefit from Jira Kanban and priority assignation per Task.
What is the best way, or an add-on, or workaround, to do it?
Thank you,
Andrea
Hi @Andrea Pallini ,
what defines a user's task in Confluence? You do have the ability to highlight text in Confluence and automatically create an issue in your Jira project. This will have the effect of inserting the Jira task in place of the text. You also can use the Jira macro to insert a Jira issue. Unsure if this would meet your needs.
I have used cases where I create a table that includes users and their actions, and then adds a column for the associated Jira issue
Hi Jack, thank you for your answer. The whole company is using Confluence for the Meeting minutes from different spaces. After every meeting, all tasks are assigned to many people.
The Tasks button is ok but lacks a Kanban (Trello Style), Status, and Priority.
Also, not everybody uses Jira.
In the ideal world, those tasks generated in Confluence are synched in a Jira Kanban or in a Trello Board.
I know I can create a new Trello Board or a new Jira Kanban, but I would automatically receive all tasks created in Confluence.
Thanks,
A

That would be an interesting feature. It would seem to compete a bit with Jira and Trello though a very light "to do" and "done" task tracker board with drag and drop isn't unreasonable. You may wish to share your feedback with Atlassian via the in-app feedback link.
interesting enough I found this addon app available for DC but not Cloud. You might ping them about any plans for Cloud.
