Hi All,
I have an issue with my Confluence server. Looking through the logs, I find a numbe r of entries that say:
or
From the investigation I have carries out so far,m this seems to be in reference to Apache XML Commons?
This seems to be causing a lot of issues, going by the log files at least.
Could this behaviour be down to an add-on? Or is it something else? I would really like to get this error solved as soon as possible, a lot of my users seem to be encountering issues with our Confluence at the moment and I want to remove this from the list of potential culprits.
Cheers.
Rafa
One thing to check is whether the files in the error are on the indicated paths, and whether the user running Confluence has permissions to them. None of our test instances have a META_INF folder beneath confluence\WEB-INF\classes.
It is hard to tell what could be causing the issues your users are encountering without examining a support zip, which would include your java options as well as other configurations and logs.
Please open a support request at https://getsupport.atlassian.com and attach a support zip. To create a support zip, please follow these instructions: Creating a Support Zip File via the Confluence Administration Console
Please include the symptoms your users are encountering as well.
To eliminate user installed add-ons as causing the issues you may want to try the instance in safe mode to see if the issues persist:
