On some pages the Confluence top Menu bar disappears - and you have the return to the top of the page to access it

Steps to Reproduce

  • Create a page which is long enough to scroll down while viewing
  • Open the page and scroll down a bit
  • We see that top Menu bar disappears, as we scroll down

Expected Results

Top Menu bar should stay on top like it does when we scroll down in any other Confluence page which is long enough to scroll down.

On some pages the Confluence top Menu bar disappears...

On top of what the guys have suggested, it might be worth checking if this is happening in different browsers or just the main one you're using. 👀
Also, you could use an incognito window to see the behavior there.

If there are any other users/colleagues on the instance, are they experiencing the same thing as well?

Hi @Simon H

Just checking if it's not a case of a floating menu bar... I've seen it being activated by default here and there so I had to pin it to the top.

Having said that, I did experience a pinned menu bar disappearing from view.

Hi Kris, Thanks for the feedback - for me it's the top of page "Edit" bar that doesn't follow on some pages

But I see that it's a known bug.

Hi @Simon H ,

This is a known issue for long pages. This happens due to certain page content or layouts causing overflow conflicts in the editor's rendering, and it's more common in browsers like Firefox or with specific macros/tables.

This bug has not been rolled out yet so you can track this similar requests here: CONFSERVER-59037

I hope everything works out well for you.

Best regards,

Peter

Many thank @Peter_DevSamurai - I'll try without the Change History macro
