Confluence sends hourly emails on tasks assigned to a user

For some reason, users who have tasks assigned to them in Confluence are receiving the same task reminder every hour, on the hour, six days ahead of the task's due date. This is obnoxious and unnecessary, but there's nothing in the existing Confluence documentation on how to configure task notification settings. Has anyone encountered and solved this problem?

Maybe you have a Confluence add-on like Task Reminder? If you are not the admin, you might have to reach out to the admin to check the configuration.
