I am trying to migrate a confluence installation from one server to another and I'm having a problem on startup on the new server...
I get an error page that says: Detected tables with non-default collation. See https://confluence.atlassian.com/x/TABrFw
I've followed the instructions to correct the character set settings in that article, but this hasn't seemed to help matters.
I'm also seeing this error repeated in the confluence logs:
14-Apr-2019 12:14:20.976 SEVERE [http-nio-8090-exec-3] org.apache.catalina.core.StandardHostValve.custom Exception Processing ErrorPage[errorCode=404, location=/fourohfour.action]
java.util.concurrent.CompletionException: com.atlassian.confluence.tenant.VacantException: Confluence is vacant, a call to tenanted [public abstract org.hibernate.Session org.hibernate.SessionFactory.getCurrentSession() throws org.hibernate.HibernateException] is not allowed.
So I've also made sure the hostname resolves as described in this article: https://confluence.atlassian.com/confkb/confluence-generates-confluence-is-vacant-error-on-install-779164449.html
Now I'm stuck...
Both of the errors above still show as before.
Any advice or help would be appreciated!
Hi Matthew
did you check the collation on database, table and column level?
Cheers
Kurt
Thanks Kurt.
I'd not corrected the column level. Too much coffee and not enough sleep.
