JIRA Confluence is down and giving the error

Proxy Error

The proxy server received an invalid response from an upstream server.
The proxy server could not handle the request

Reason: Error reading from remote server
Kindly let me know the steps to fix this issue

This proxy error simply means "the server behind me is not responding".  There's no way the proxy can know why the server is down.

You will have to get your administrators to look at why Confluence is down (read the logs for a start, unless they already know why it's down because they did it for maintenance or upgrade or something), and get them to restart it or reconfigure things if they've changed something that has broken the proxy link.
