Confluence in a hybrid mode?

Can Confluence be setup to in a hybrid mode?

By this I mean use Confluence in the cloud but keep the data stored locally?

Wish to use the benefits of software updates, patches, etc in the cloud model, but require that information stays local.

Users would be redirected to locally store docs, etc.

No. Cloud is completely hosted - it's all or nothing (barring some add-ons which allow you to store attachments on google drive)
