Hi
1:
When setting Confluence up as a service and restart the server, the service cannot start up.
When I manually run startup_bundled_jre.bat it starts up ok
2:
I cannot see how i can assign access to Confluence to specific users? (i share user directory with Jira). Only a subset in the beginning should have Confluence license.

Ok it looks like it is working now... it was the java path
Hi,
are you using a different Java version than the one bundled with Confluence? There's no need for a separate Java installation on your server. I strongly recommend using the version the Atlassian distributes with the package installer.

Hi Jan-Peter
No but for some reason the service parameters did not point itself to the java boundled with confluence - so i cound this command where i could then point it to confluence java runtime..
Thanks for your feedback!!

Hi Jepser,
can you get any information from the windows event log? Maybe the service user is missing some user rights (Log on as service).
There should be a local confluence group "confluence-users", which is configured to allow access to Confluence. Add users to this group to give them access (and a license). The admin should be added to the "confluence-administrators" group.

The Confluence service is running "local-system" which also Bitbucket and Jirs does. So i cannot set the "log on as service" on a user.
I get this error in the event log:
The Atlassian Confluence Confluence service terminated with the following service-specific error:
Incorrect function.
