Confluence as online help/documentation in application

I have an application where I would like to use a confluence space as online help/documentation. How can I link to my confluence space without making the space public? Only users of the application should be able to view the confluence space (with no login to confluence). What is the best practice?

You have to decide one way or the other:

The documentation exists in a public Space (no login)

or

The documentation exists in a login Space with specific User access
