Confluence access issue

coralie_moriette December 2, 2025

I have an account created by my company (I'm able to access my profile) however the Apps still shows an error message stating that my email address "doesn't have access to Confluence on XXXX.atlassian.net. "

Would you know why please?

Hello @coralie_moriette

Your organization admin needs to assign you the Confluence application role in order to access Confluence.

Hi @coralie_moriette

As @G subramanyam  suggests this is occurs when you don't have access to the application.

One additional thing to check if you are using Jira Service Management is if they have added the correct profile to the Confluence space. In Jira Service Management you can get assigned a "Customer role" (normally grey) to access the Service desk portal and that profile is different from your normal proifile.

If your customer role is added to the Confluence space you won't get access.

Best regards,
/Staffan

Hi @coralie_moriette welcome to Atlassian community.

Please be informed, the error message, "doesn't have access to Confluence on XXXX.atlassian.net", specifically indicates that your account has not been granted Product Access to Confluence for that site.

The resolution involves confirming the correct access permissions have been assigned.

Here's documentation links to refer for detailed steps:

User Can't Access Confluence Cloud

Managing Confluence Site and Space Permission

Your next step should be to contact your organization's internal Atlassian Site Administrator and ask them to verify your Product Access for Confluence.
