For the 2nd time in past 8 years as Free User, Atlassian has made my Wiki Space in Confluence disappear, despite having logged on within the deadline for non-activity.
Happened 2 years back, they then restored it for me but I forgot how I got this support back then, can't find a trace.
What's worse, NOWHERE can a Free User raise a support ticket, write an email or contact Support via Phone, they only refer to User Manuals and User Community.
Any suggestions are welcome.
Hi @Roger Teuwsen,
From what you’ve described, it sounds like your Confluence site might be getting flagged as inactive under Atlassian’s Free plan policies. Even if you log in occasionally, the system may still consider the site inactive if there’s little or no content activity (e.g., creating or editing pages) over an extended period.
This often happens when a space is used more like a long-term archive or personal wiki that’s consulted rarely, rather than actively updated. Unfortunately, for Free plan users, direct support channels are limited to the Atlassian Community.
If you manage to get your space restored again, one way to avoid this in the future is to make small edits or create a new page every few months — just enough to keep the activity level above the inactivity threshold.
I hope you’re able to get it back soon. If you’d like, I can also point you to some posts where other users have shared the steps they took to get a similar issue resolved.
